A slower paced practice based on Yin principles. We start with some warming sequences to work with the musculature of the body: the awareness then continues deeper into the ligaments and fascia. This connective tissue surrounds the muscles and joints and responds more effectively to slow, sustained postures. Ultimately encouraging a sense of lightness and ease in the way we move.

19.00-20.00 Cardio Holistic Ballet Fitness

Ballet Fitness classes are available to adults from beginners to advanced levels and no prior ballet experience is necessary.
The classes are one hour long and incorporate Ballet Centre Practice exercises such as; Pliès, Ports de Bras and Grand Battements. These exercises utilise the strength and flexibility of each muscle group, whilst also increasing balance, co ordination and posture. The floor work section of the class is compromised of Pilates and Ballet Floor Barre exercises (made famous by New York City Ballet.) The floor work section provides a calm workout for both the body and the mind, and also builds on the foundations laid down by the Ballet Centre Practice section.
The class provides excellent benefits for toning, strengthening, balance and general fitness, whilst also building an outward confidence and elegance.

Qi Gong is an ancient Chinese health care system that integrates physical postures, breathing techniques and focused intention.

The word Qi Gong is made up of two Chinese words. Qi is pronounced “chi” and is usually translated to mean the life force or vital-energy that flows through all things in the universe. The second word, Gong, pronounced “kung”, means accomplishment or skill that is cultivated through steady practice. Together, Qi Gong means “cultivating energy” and is a system practiced for health maintenance, healing, increasing vitality and explosiveness.

Ballet classes for children aged approximately 6 - 8 years. The class follows the syllabus of Grade 1 from The Royal Academy of Dance. Grade 1 builds upon the fundamental movements of ballet and works to increase technique whilst keeping the enjoyment of movement and dance.

Ballet classes for children aged approximately 8 - 10 years. The class follows the syllabus of Grade 3 from The Royal Academy of Dance. Grade 3 increases the vocabulary learned through the previous grades and forms an important part of ballet education through the introduction of new steps.

The class is taught through a range of imaginative exercises, stories and Nursery Rhymes, all of which are based on basic ballet movements such as; Marching, Tippy Toes and Waving to introduce the love of dance and movement.
Whoever brings the child (Mum, Dad, Nanny or carer) helps the child with their movements and is there throughout the class, which we have found is a great way for the children to feel more comfortable at their young age.
