What was intrinsic to me as part of the design process was to introduce the artesian elements of traditional Moroccan craftsmanship. It was vital for me to encompass the delicate light and also (and probably more importantly to me in the design process), Shadow.
The most memorable thing to me about my travels to Morocco was ‘shadow’, delicate, hand carved shadow, pouring from the most beautiful hand made lanterns and lamps. Yes these lamps were hand made by craftsmen.
I needed to locate a company that could take a drawing and produce lighting to a specification. That company turned out to be:
They manufacture exquisite Moroccan lighting, and were involved in the Dolphin Square Spa project from an early stage. Working closely with their designers, and me a bespoke range of intricately carved brass lighting was manufactured for the spa to reflect the finesse and attention to detail throughout. The lights set the tone to give the spa a sense of calm and sophistication.
Talisman Trading were delighted to work with Dolphin Square on their spa project, and are equally enthralled by the results. Good luck and happy health to all.
