We have listed some ideas to help you plan your August Bank Holiday Itinerary
If Carnival is not your cup of tea there are plenty of other activities happening in London this August bank holiday weekend.
Camden Pop Up Beach
In anticipation of some glorious English sunshine, we’re thinking of heading to the beach. NW1 isn’t usually on the list of coastal getaways but, thanks to the creative team at the Roundhouse, ‘Camden Beach’ has returned this Summer.
Stripy deck chairs stand proudly, the ice-cream man awaits, along with The Tiki beach bar. So sit back, relax and feel the sand slip between you toes. Buckets and spades welcome!
Battersea Pop Up Cinema
A series of film screenings will light up the parkland surrounding the towers, thanks to Everyman Cinema’s partnership with Battersea Power station this summer. This will be the last chance for the public to access the pop up park before Battersea Power station redevelopment. Picnic rugs, blankets and a side order of popcorn please.
Gay Sports Day London
Organised by the GMFA (Gay Men’s Health Charity) the Gay Sports Day provides a fun filled, tongue-in-cheek sporting event. Held at Vauxhaull Tavern on 25th August from 12:30pm until 6pm. (But the outside bar keeps going until midnight). Expect tug of war, space hopper relays and even a handbag throwing competition!
Devour a Sunday Roast at Dolphin Square Bar & Grill
Bank holiday weekend would not be complete without the perfect Sunday roast, and the Bar and Grill at Dolphin Square serves Yorkshire puddings galore. Whats more you can tie this in with stay at Dolphin Square and have all of these activities and more on your doorstep.
