The Best Spots to Watch The Wimbledon Finals in London

It’s that time of year again when our attention gets taken to a leafy little corner of South London, Wimbledon. Wimbledon 2014 will see tennis matching football as a national obsession in the hope of reigning champion, Andy Murray, to defend his title.

Murray Mound isn’t the only place to catch a bit of tennis action this summer, as it seems there’s possibilities on every corner. Here we’ve covered our favourite four picks of venues to watch next weekend’s finals:

  1. Surf and AstroTurf at The Trustcott Arms

This newly-renovated Maida Vale gastropub is well and truly going all-out for Wimbledon.  They have even gone as far as transforming their dinning rooms into a mini centre court.

2.  Made in Wimbledon at Bluebird, Chelsea

The bluebird makes for one of the best places to watch all the Wimbledon action – screening all the matches on their giant outdoor screen and served up with all day BBQ, Moet & Chandon Champagne and jugs of Pimms. Tables need to be pre booked for the Men’s Finals (Sunday 6th July) and our priced from £55. (They’ve got the grass to match).

4.     Great British Summer Pop Up screens

Great British Summer are offering screenings and events at four prime London locations. And if the sun’s shinning then what better to do then to pack a picnic and watch the finals in the great British outdoors. Take your picks from: New Street Square   Thomas More Square  One new Change and Cardinal Place or Bankside Mix  which has a big screen and deckchairs set up outside the Refinery bar and restaurant, where you can grab a cocktail and a bite before settling in to the tennis, and can even play a game of (table) tennis during the breaks.
