National Afternoon Tea Week is celebrated between 11-17 August this year.   With the end nigh, we have selected the best places to feed those tea, scone and crust-less cucumber sandwich desires this weekend.

Taking tea to the Beach at the Intercontinental Hotel

Afternoon tea hits the beach.  The InterContinental Hotel’s British Summer holiday afternoon tea brings memories of days spent at the seaside.  Expect the traditional finger sandwiches,  freshly baked scones with clotted cream and jam with an unexpected, beach twist.  Expect edible beach huts, buckets and spades!

This Afternoon Tea is available until 31st August 2014 and is priced at £32.50 without champagne and £37.50 per person with free pouring Laurent-Perrier Brut Champagne.  Find out more here

The Gentleman’s Afternoon Tea at Sanctum Soho

In the heart of London’s West End sits Sanctum Soho Hotel, think style, sophistication combined with comfort. Food wise we’re talking salmon and caviar bagels, ham and mustard (manly) finger sandwiches. Fish pies and scotch eggs.  Mad Hatters Afternoon Tea at The Sanderson

Guests are seated and handed a vintage book with the menu hidden inside, linen napkins are wrapped with a riddle. Sugar lies in a magical music box, serenading the sugar seeker with sweet tunes.

Foresee ‘strawberries and cream’, homemade marshmallow mushrooms and a carrot meringue served on a bed of pea shoots have been carefully selected to tantalise the tastebuds, before guests are invited to experience the delights of Jelly Wonderland.  Find out more here

 Because we can’t let the hotels have all the fun…Board one of London’s finest double deckers to see London’ sights and enjoy your tea all at once.  The London sightseeing tour lasts approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes (depending on traffic), and you will be picked up and dropped off at the London Eye.  Adults £45 per person.  See more here

Starting the spa journey in the salt infused steam rooms, followed by choice of 25 minute facial or massage and then Arabian nights manicure AND pedicure.
