Every Londoner will tell you that life in the Capital can, at times, become a little hectic. Running from place to place, up and down tube station escalators can be exhausting.
With its great connections and central location, residents of Pimlico and Dolphin Square can enjoy quick and easy access to a number of the city’s hot spots.
We have collated 5 popular commutes that our residents can do on foot, train or bus in just 20 minutes, meaning there’s a little more time for down time when you live at Dolphin Square.
Would you believe that with the magic of the Victoria line; you can reach Oxford Street from Pimlico station in 14 minutes door to door. If you choose to drive it takes an estimated 17 minutes to get from Pimlico to Oxford Circus heading North East on Warwick Square towards Belgrave Road, then onto the A3213, the A302 and A4202 to Duke Street, and finally onto Oxford Street. If you’re looking to combine some exercise with your daily commute and have a bit more time to spare then take a brisk 45 minute walk between Pimlico and Oxford Circus by heading off along Wilton Road.
Westminster tube station is a 16-minute bus ride, a 13 minute tube ride (via the District Line for 2 stops) and a leisurely 23 minute walk from Pimlico. If you choose to take a London bus then you’ll need to opt for the number 24 which arrives every 10 minutes and will take around 18 minutes to arrive in Westminster once you are on the bus from Pimlico. If you’re planning on driving you’ll likely arrive in 12 minutes (London traffic permitting) by taking the Lambeth Palace Road (A3036) route.
Also on the Victoria line is the bustling hub of Kings’ Cross, just 27 minutes from Pimlico station. Take the Victoria Line 6 stops to your destination. If you’re planning to walk you’ll need to set off quite early because the commute on foot between Pimlico and Kings Cross is around 1 hour and 20 minutes. One for a Summers day for sure. Why not take a bike ride instead, which is expected to take you just over half an hour if you head off over Victoria Embankment. The bike ride between Pimlico and Kings Cross is around 4.7 miles long.
London Bridge will only take you between 26 and 30 minutes to reach. Either walk to Victoria Station and grab the District Line or hop on at Pimlico and switch at Victoria.
As well as London Bridge, Bank is only 28 minutes away. Grab the district line from Victoria or hop on at Pimlico and grab the Central at Oxford Circus, or the Northern Line at Stockwell.
Liverpool Street, yes Liverpool Street, is no more than a 33 minute commute from Pimlico station, with a quick hop on to the Central Line at Oxford Circus
