Remember, remember the 5th of November……We round up the best Bonfire Night celebrations in London. It’s almost time to stock up on toffee apples, wrap up warm and head outdoors to look up at the sky. That’s right, it’s nearly bonfire night. North London

Back with a bang: Alexandra Palace Fireworks (Ally Pally’s Fireworks Festival)

This year, Alexandra Palace will be hosting one of the best firework celebrations taking place in the capital, with their affectionately known ‘Ally Pally’s Fireworks Festival. The event, taking place on the 1st of November 2019 and 2nd of November 2019 and will see a magnificent firework display by Star Fireworks, who were crowned 2013 British Firework Champions. There will also be a family funfair, a lively street food village, a German bier festival and ice-skating sessions available.

East London

Newham Guy Fawkes Night Fireworks

For some musical fireworks, head east on to Newham’s Guy Fawkes Night Fireworks. This year’s display includes a cleverly choreographed musical show including a pop soundtrack with background tracks from Florence & the Machine, Jessie J, Katie Perry and many more. Gates open at 5.30pm and the display begins at 6.30pm.

South London

Lambeth Fireworks Display

  • Where:  Brockwell Park, Brockwell Park Gardens, London SE24 9BJ

Especially great for families, this year’s Lambeth Fireworks will be at Brockwell Park. As well as a “Four Seasons” themed fireworks display taking place, there will also be four different zones for each of the four seasons. There will be food, drink and entertainment available in the different areas.

West London

Ravenscourt Park Fireworks

  • Where: Ravenscourt Park, Paddenswick Rd, Hammersmith, London W6 0UA

  • When: Gates open 6pm, Saturday 2nd November

If you’re looking for a west London bonfire night, then there are a couple of good ones to choose from, however we think Ravenscourt Fireworks are worth checking out. Gates open at 6pm, there’s a children’s firework display at 7.15pm and the main display starts at 8pm.

The Battersea Park Fireworks Display

  • Where: Battersea Park, Battersea, London SW11 4NJ
  • How much: TBA
  • When: Saturday 2nd November 2019

A cracking display on the banks of the Thames that sees thousands of spectators flock to a picturesque park to enjoy food and drink, family activities and an array of seasonal stalls. Those who fancy a more relaxed approach to watching colours whizz across the skyline can enjoy the show from a firework cruise.  This promises to be an incredible fireworks display and will be fired by award winning Jubilee Fireworks.

Alexandra Palace Fireworks Display

  • Where: Alexandra Palace, Alexandra Palace Way, London N22 7AY

Situated in North London, and established as one of the top Bonfire Nights in the city, Alexandra Palace promises not to disappoint. Alongside spinning Catherine Wheels, and riveting rockets, spectators can indulge in a spot of retail therapy, ice-skating and even a German beer festival!

Southwark Fireworks Night

  • Where: Southwark Park, Gomm Rd, London SE16 2TX

Despite being one of the largest displays in the city, attracting nothing short of 30,000 spectators, Southwark is one of the best. Now in its 16th year, this display is situated on the south side of the river, and the display offers food and drink a-plenty, entertainment and close proximity to London’s nightlife, for those who want to carry on celebrating. Tickets are available through Southwark Council.

Brent Fireworks

  • Where: Wembley Park, Bridge Road, Brent

  • When: Early Nov 2019

With a sparkling new location at Wembley Park, Brent Fireworks promises an incredible show, exclusively designed for the location with a secret soundtrack; shhh! There’ll be food, drink and lashings of entertainment – the best part? It’s completely free!

Blackheath Fireworks

  • Where: Blackheath, London SE3 0UH
  • How much: Free
  • When: Early Nov 2019

Blackheath Firework Display is the largest free fireworks display in London and is located in one of the biggest outdoor spaces in the city.  The display welcomes around 100,000 spectators with a wealth of entertainment, food and drink stalls and here, fun doesn’t come at a cost, as it’s completely free.

Richmond Family Fireworks

  • Where: Richmond Athletics Ground, Twickenham Road, Richmond, TW9 2SF
  • How much: Free
  • When: Sunday 3rd November 2019

This family friendly event is the biggest in the borough and this year fireworks will be set to Michael Jackson’s greatest hits.  With live music before the main event and mulled wine stalls, winter pimms and funfair rides for the children and after-party for the adults in the clubhouse from 8pm.

East Village Fireworks

  • Where: 20 Victory Parade, East Village, London E15 2ER

The inaugural East Village fireworks night at Victory Park has been expertly arranged by Darryl Flemming, the brains behind the fireworks displays of London’s New Year’s Eve celebrations, Edinburgh’s Hogmanay and London 2012 Olympic Games and Glasgow 2014 Commonwealth Games opening ceremonies.  With bar, street food trucks, architectural fountain display and a maze made from 500 lit candles this evening cannot fail to impress.

Hackney Firework Pyromusical

  • Where: Clissold Park, Green Lanes, Stoke Newington, London N16 9HJ
  • How much: Free
  • When: Early Nov 2019

The first public fireworks display in Hackney for over a decade,  which promises to be a spectacular treat.  Set to music the fireworks have been tested by animal welfare experts and specially chosen so as not to cause distress to the park’s animals. Illuminated stilt-walkers, an aerialist performing in an 11metre high installation, fire walkers as well as food and drink stalls are just some of the entertainment set to accompany the family friendly pyromusical.  Tickets must be purchased in advance from Hackney Empire.

Ealing Cricket Club

  • Where: Ealing Cricket Club, Corfton Rd, Hanger Hill, London W5 2HS

This year’s theme is ‘Century Cinema’, so guests can expect to hear some familiar film soundtracks such as Star Wars and Mission Impossible as musical accompaniment for the spectacular display and laser show.  Mulled wine, bar-b-que and candy floss stalls as well as family friendly entertainment and rides add to the fun.
