Pimlico Painters

Following the recent London Art Fair, the capital holds its own as a major player on the international arts scene, and Pimlico does it’s part to help. Before the artsy movement spreads throughout Europe, the media’s spotlight first falls on the capital. This currently plays host to a palette of creative events and exhibitions, including the eagerly anticipated Grayson Perry display at The Serpentine Gallery. Widely regarded as an international hub for budding artists, creatives from all corners of the globe flock to The Big Smoke, paintbrushes in hand, to showcase their masterpieces. It’s historic events such as the London Art Fair that lead to the expressive talents of great British artists Turner, Blake and Constable reaching international acclaim.

The art world is a lot closer than you may think. Pimlico was once home to notable artists such as the respected illustrator, Aubrey Beardley. As well as genre and landscape artist, Arthur Foord Hughes and tarot card illustrator, Pamela Colman Smith.
